Tuesday Taggers take 2

The theme this week on Tuesday Taggers is bright and bold, so I thought I would use the Petal Party scrapbooking kit from Stampin' Up!
This is a little gift tag which could be used for Father's Day.
I used Old Olive as my base cardstock, put a little stickles on the edges of some of the petals and inked my "coupon" with Pixie Pink and Pumpkin Pie inks using a blender pen.
Ribbon is Certainly Celery.
The coupon stamp is from Hero Arts.
Think I've made the deadline this time! LOL!

In the pink

Well the sunny weather at the weekend made me turn away from the usual muted colour palette that I favour and turn to brighter things.

Pink Cardstock and oval scallop punch is Stampin' Up!
Black cardstock and pink paper is Inspire Me (Black is actually embossed but it's difficult to see)
Border Punch is Martha Stewart
Flower and Ribbon by Sarah's Cards
Sentiment is Craftwork Cards- fits SU scallop oval punch perfectly.

Tuesday Taggers

This is a tag I'd made for Tuesday Taggers - I knew the deadline was today, but just noticed that it was at midday today so I missed it! LOL! Never mind, I enjoyed making it, the theme was "New Beginnings"
Will have to do better next time!
Background is glimmer mist and stamps are Stampington and Papertrey.

Jems Challenge by Sarah

This time our challenge has been set by Sarah, and she sent us all two french fry box die cuts to make up, one dark and one light.
Well I am a chocoholic, so a chocolate theme popped straight in to my head. LOL!
(The chocolates show up better if you click on the image to get a larger picture)
I stamped both boxes with the swirl from Baroque motifs, I have used stampin'up! rub-ons on the sides of each box and the ovals are Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla cardstock made with the oval and scallop oval punches.
Flowers are Prima and the alphabet is Adornit Stickers. I've also used SU ribbon to tie the little bags which are filled with Minstrels and Milky Bar "smarties".
Mmmmmmm- wonder how long they will stay intact?

A Dream Day

I had a fantastic day on Sunday - a friend of mine (hello Karen!) was asked to demo scrapbooking at a papercraft show in Lancashire on Sunday but she couldn't make it, so she asked me to do it!

Well, I wasn't sure if I could, but as I have got older I have decided that it is good for me to do things that I am not 100% comfortable with - so I did it.

I am so pleased that I said yes, it was the best day - I got to scrapbook all day and chat to lots of lovely ladies - I adored every minute of it.

A couple of my layouts are above. These are from my family history album, but I DID do some holiday and family layouts too , so I'll post some more later in the week.

Quick get well card

This was made using Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip cardstock and 9 squares cut from the Haiku double sided paper collection. I also used the scallop square punch to cut a piece of very vanilla cardstock and the stamps are from Hero Arts and Inkadinkadoo.

Nesties storage

I've always found storing my nestabilities a bit of a nuisance so I decided to make another file folder (see 27th March post for my first one) for them. Then I made some envelopes out of patterned paper and labelled them with my round tab punch.
Yay - a tidy way to store them.

Pirate Pop Up Card

My son is going to a friend's party on Sunday so this is my attempt at a pop up card using the Sizzix 3D cake die. For the front I used Stampin' Up! DS paper and Creamy Caramel and Chocolate Chip Cardstock. Twine is SU.
The Vellum is by Flair designs, the alphabet stamps are Papermania and the map and greeting are by Woodware.

Inside I used Rusty Pickle paper, Basic Grey Cardstock wave strip, Woodware pirate stamp and fancy pants little fish stamp.
I also used stickles for the water and distress embossing powder for the "sand"
I'm going to put a piece of distressed "parchment" (i.e. inked paper!) on the bottom left so that the greeting can be written on it.
I can't wait to try another design using this die, it was really good fun to use.
